iRegatta is a tactical Regatta application and cruising navigation application developed for the iPhone. The PRO version automatically includes the basic NMEA0183 and AIS in-app purchases available in the regular version, while also providing access to additional in-app purchases. The built-in GPS unit and the unique graphical capabilities of the iPhone make it an ideal tool for sailing applications.

For iPhone owners, iRegatta offers an affordable way to experience the benefits of a GPS device, enhancing their regatta sailing performance. One drawback is that iPhones/iPads are not waterproof. However, there are products available that can protect your device from water while allowing full operation. This allows you to mount it near other instruments on a keelboat or secure it to your arm while sailing a dinghy.

• Main View: Displays essential readouts such as Heading, Speed, VMG, and Performance. Includes a lift indicator, speed and VMG development graphs, and a performance bar.
• Wind Direction: Store wind direction based on sailing on starboard and port tack or manually enter it.
• Start View: Features countdown with sync functionality, calculates distance to the starting line, and indicates the favored line end with wind direction settings.
• Statistics View: Shows current position, trip odometer, max speed since last reset, and a polar diagram representing speed and VMG.
• Waypoints: Navigate stored waypoints or create temporary ones using cross bearing via the iPhone camera or distance/bearing input.
• Tracking: Records your track for later analysis on the map or export to a computer.

Additionally, iRegatta can receive instrument information over WiFi from NMEA0183 instruments and display AIS data in a radar-like view. The app also features a watch application for viewing data and start line features on your watch. The watch app tracks sailing as an activity and integrates with HealthKit to help you achieve your activity goals.
